The thing that hooked me to this book was that next to the pictures there are 1-6 lines of description which is a super high-yield summary of what you need to know about the pathology(etiology, pathogenesis, morphology, correlations, complications). On the clinically common subjects there are usually more than 3 pictures, so you can get accustomed to seeing it from every angle possible. I am a visual learner and when I first laid eyes on this book, I HAD to have it. If a medical student can catch these errors, it would stand to reason that he would have seen them too.
